Online Math Tutoring

1:1 Tutoring to overcome math challenges

Find the Right Instructor for You

While it’s one of the most important subjects for students to excel at, math is also one of the toughest to crack. If your child is struggling with math, don’t worry. At Success Tutoring Online, we are here to help you and your child with our online tutoring services.

Overcoming the Obstacles of Mathematics
Retaining what is Taught for Application in Life

Many students across the globe find math daunting because it requires them to think differently. Understanding the problem and working out a solution isn’t something that everyone is good at. This struggle is especially amplified because in many cases, the math methods that parents learned growing up have undergone a massive transformation, requiring parents to seek external help.

While some educational institutions have made math quite interesting and fun for students, others have only made it more intimidating and challenging. Here are some common math challenges faced by students:

  • Mistakes while adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing numbers.
  • Difficulty in understanding abstract math concepts or how they can be applied.
  • Difficulty in memorizing math facts, rules, concepts, sequences, formulas, and procedures.
  • Inability to understand or conceptualize word problems.
  • Following the wrong steps to solve a math problem.

We understand that both students and their parents struggle with these issues, which is why we find it so important to provide comprehensive tutoring services to supplement or bolster that which is being taught in school.

What We Offer

If a math problem seems to be “unsolvable” and your child’s anxiety increases, let our expert math tutors help. Along with regular online, individual one-to-one tutoring, we also offer summer workshops online to small groups (up to 4 students) of students who wish to hone their math skills during a time when they do not have other academic demands. Our online math tutors are available for all of the following math topics:

K - 8th Grade Math

Our online basic math tutors are experts in math from kindergarten to 8th grade. Our tutors can help students progress from the basics of counting, associating numbers with physical quantities, single-digit addition and subtraction, then progressing to multiple-digit addition and subtraction with regrouping, place value, multiplication and division. Then, our tutors can help students to understand and learn to apply the concepts of fractions, decimals, percents and integers before moving on to variables, arithmetic terms and expressions, linear equations, geometry concepts as well as basic statistics and probability. Our approach to K-8th grade math is to help students understand and increase their skill and confidence with basic math in preparation for algebra and higher levels of math.

Algebra I + II

Algebra is sometimes viewed as one of the most challenging concepts under the umbrella of mathematics. In Algebra I, students build their foundation; they learn algebraic concepts, how to solve equations for one and then two variables, how to work with linear equations, how to solve for systems of equations and inequalities, understand functions, exponents, polynomials, factorization, rational expressions, quadratic equations and word problems. In Algebra II, we cover higher level, non-linear functions, logarithms, complex numbers, radical and rational relationships, the introduction of trigonometric concepts, and advanced equations and functions.

Geometry

Geometry is the branch of mathematics that is concerned with the relationship between points, lines, surfaces and solids. Our tutors help students understand these concepts, become comfortable with them and finally, become able to apply them to real-life or theoretical situations. Geometry has to do with lines, angles, triangles, shapes, quadrilaterals, coordinate plane, surface area and volume, perimeter and area, Pythagorean Theorem, congruence and similarity, circles, and geometric constructions. Our online geometry tutors cover all of these areas.

Standardized Exams

Are you trying to be accepted into a private high school? Aiming for an esteemed institution for your college education? Or ready to venture into the world as an adult? For any of these situations, you will most likely need to take one of a number of standardized tests. Some standardized tests are for college entrance (SAT and ACT), while others are for entry to private high schools (ISEE, SSAT, HSPT and COOP, among others), and yet there are others that are for high school equivalency such as the CHSPE, GED and Hi-SET. Regardless of which of these standardized tests you are preparing for you will need to work on your basic and advanced math concepts as well as your language arts skills in order to do well.

Pre - Calculus

Precalculus is a part of mathematics that combines trigonometry and algebra at a level that is designed to prepare students for the study of calculus. Our tutors cover inverse trigonometric functions, limits and rates, matrices, trigonometric identities as well as conic functions, polar functions, complex numbers, series and statistics.

Calculus

Calculus is a branch of mathematics concerned with the calculation of rates of change and the summation of infinitely many small factors to determine some whole. Our coverage of calculus is designed to provide detailed knowledge of the various methods involved in the field. Students become familiar with limits and continuity, the fundamentals and applications of derivatives and integrals, functions analysis and differential equations and their applications. Our tutors simplify tough concepts and clarify everything for students’ understanding.

All AP Math

If you are looking for guidance while preparing for Advanced Placement for Calculus, Statistics or any other AP math exam, contact Success Tutoring Online. AP math, offered by the College Board, isn’t easy if your math basics are weak. Do not worry, because we are here to help. Our online tutoring will help you get a good grasp of all necessary math concepts to be covered in the AP Exams.

College Level Math

College level math is designed to prepare students for post-high-school placement tests. When you enter college, you will have to opt for at least one math course as a part of the general course module. Whether it’s geometry, algebra, statistics or calculus, college-level math classes may present challenges that students may not have encountered in high school. Let our tutors help you out with our summer tutoring sessions.
